Love this video. Thanks for sharing this resource. Will be happy to see some other videos on authoring tools as well. Like tutorials, reviews on top authoring tools like Adobe captivate, Articulate storyline etc. Here is a video for your reference: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0GuSJsrP_5g&list=PLmCJa4PzBNG3DV44YBCq5vbbN-mNqifZc&index=10

I love this concept so much. Question, tough: I've got 10+ years experience as a brand designer at agencies, but no audience. I want to avoid working with clients and get straight to creating a course. How do you build an audience when coming from the agency world? I have no work I can show, as it is the work of the agencies I’ve worked at.

Fortunately more learners means more resources available to you to develop your online course. Whether that means devoting more time to developing your business or even enlisting help, you’ll be better equipped to handle it as you develop. #scaleOnlinecourses #Onlinecourse #Onlinecourses

Once again, this is gold for me! This was an awesome discussion with Janelle. I love the concept of offering different variations of design service or options for clients, such as a course. That's genius! And a great way for a client to better understand the value of custom services. Thank you all!

This year, for me, has been about becoming a better teacher, you guys have helped me grow so much. Love this interview! Thanks for bringing in new perspectives and experts every week. I think learning how to teach other people is one of the best ways of becoming better yourself. I had a conversation with Melinda Livsey about this, where she mentions that actually learning from people that are 'just ahead of the curve' is great, because the struggles you encounter are so close to those of your teacher that is learning along the way as wel. That's why I want to teach designers about brand strategy while learning about it myself. It's like your in an exploration expedition on uncharted lands, and you're walking as the first of the group, uncovering the landscape as people are doing the same just a few moment behind you. That's also what Janelle is saying about being relatable and personal, if you're to far ahead and it looks like you'll never 'reach' that person, you'll start disconnecting. Again, thanks for all the great content guys!

So… Would you say creating an online course to sell on an existing platform, like Udemy for example, is a bad move? Compared to first building an audience and then selling the course yourself on your own website or something? What are the pros and cons of each? I'm asking because I'm slowly working on a course in between my freelance work (I have a full-time job so I don't have much free time) but now I'm not sure what would be the best way to sell it.
