Thinking aloud here. Personally I'm an experienced writer but not a very experienced live teacher. I don't think I'd do my topic justice teaching live, and it would take me more time to prepare than simply drafting and recording the videos. My topic is very visual so I'd need to make the slides anyway. So here's an idea. Once you have a rough draft of the course:
1) Prepare the course videos for the first module.
2) Gather a small study group. Offer them free or discounted training in return for feedback and testimonials.
3) Show them the module in a Zoom conference, and get live feedback as you go. If they can't understand, they can interrupt and ask questions.
4) While they complete the action points over, say, the next week you use the feedback to improve the first module.
5) Based on the feedback, adapt and record the second module.
6) Convene another Zoom meeting and get feedback on how they got on with the action points.
7) Then show them the second module
8) Rinse and repeat.
By the end, you should have a stronger course, a better idea of the pain points and aspirations you should use as a focus for your marketing, and some honest testimonials. Plus the deadlines will force you to keep cranking out the modules. All good, it seems to me.
