Why has the readily available and continuous wide-spread access to information not yet eradicated poverty in much of the world? Anik Singal explores how one initiative is currently accelerating social & economic mobility in slums of India, and offers a framework for how this could accelerate the dreams of the bottom billion.
Anik is the CEO and founder of multiple companies, having received awards and recognition by reputable and global publications. Anik is now dedicating his life to his dreams of providing education to those who are not currently receiving that birth-right.

wow
I hope Kunal becomes a successful pilot one day!
A truly inspirational presentation. A huge problem is discussed, and an example of a solution provided. This is creative thinking at its best and should be seen by all.
1.5 $ a day somehow uplifts a person from poverty.
But merely eating and breathing is not living
Superb👍👍👍we need more people who think like you.
500 billion wonder where does it go
The pie chart of 41.8% wasn't drawn proportionally (2:09)
I'm not an economist but I can say by my little knowledge I have that providing everyone with equal amount of money is never be the solution to poverty, because even if you provide everyone with same amount of money, the money return to those pockets who are already dominating financially because even when you have money you will use their products & ultimately money flow back to them….you have to build a system that's not only dependent on one factor- money but more than one factors.
Anik, thanks it just prove to us how we all have a role to play, specially the poor and hungry, they also need to play their part instead of waiting for who,WOW and chowwww…
Brilliant !
this was passed to me by an old friend of mine that to this day i find myself I find myself so intrigued by his ability to share so many brilliant wonderful things he has learned and done in his life with that being said I highly recommend this video to All and a shout out to mark thanks the timing couldn't have been better
Some people don't use money and money does not necessarily equate with wealth.
thats why they killed ghaddafi he wanted to reincarnate africa with the great manmade river across africa. before they murdered him… 🙁
Highly inspiring
Good Work Anik!
In India we have multiple problems and if we work along with government to empower the unfortunate people, we can really change The world.
The harvest is rich indeed but the laborers are few…awesome insight bro Anik!!!!
Hello Anik. I'm the founder of Life Teaches Foundation. We connect the organizations and ppl who want to help with the ppl who need the help. Developing a resource database mostly focused on people that are homeless or at risk. I'd love to talk with you about it if you can make time for a call. Thank you. – Yael
Anik Singal gave me goosebumps with this TED talk. He has a dream to educate and empower 1,000,000 children and is working very well toward reaching that goal. Make investments to a third world country and watch your investment grow, just as you would with your personal investments.
Anik Singal's webinars are like a tv shop hahaha …. after 2 hrs…
Empower the poor to create more economic benefit than can be imagined. China had 88% poverty in 1990 moved it to 6.5% in 2010. They had the greatest economic boom growing from .9Trillion to 10.1Trillion in this time period.
Magnificent! Great presentation Anik. I wish more people were like you.
Anik,
these are the same principles that need to be taught throughout the world. Thank you for setting the stage and the example. God Bless You!!!
This is phenomenal. There a saying that goes like this: "Give a man a fish and you feed him for a day, teach a man how to fish and you feed him for a lifetime". This Quote by the Ancient Chinese Philosopher Lao Tzu is what fueled China's strategy to empower its people. We can learn and implement this quote in our daily lives. May God give us the ability and means to do so. A'meen.
Most of the families in Egypt living in 2$ in the day and less than.
wonderful empowerment!!
For those interested in learning more about possible solutions and challenges relating to eradicating poverty, I highly recommend this free course on Coursera offered by Columbia University’s Jeffrey Sachs https://www.coursera.org/learn/sustainable-development
It was by far one of the best courses I took explaining the issues to poverty, environment, economic development, and many more.
Cheap energy is the key to helping the poor to get out of poverty. Instead of Solar and Windmills, develope coal, natural gas, Hydro, and nuclear power plants to give them cheap electricity. That would give them electricity, clean water and clean air. (Co2 IS NOT POLLUTION, BUT PLANT FOOD) sorry fot the all caps. The de-growth movement (de-industrialization) is what is preventing these poor from growing wealth.
Great talk Anik
Is great idea, the minds of Nigerians are not matured to work on love for humanity without cheating.
